Holiday Giving Not Getting

Around this time every year I wonder what the best gifts for my kids would be. I want to give them educational toys that inspire them to be great. I look for toys that will influence them in a positive way and prepare them for the future. Is that too much to ask?

Perhaps this year, I will encourage them to pick a toy or book that will mean a lot to a child in need, and then have them give it as a gift. I want to teach them that the holidays are not about GETTING but about GIVING.
